The Autumn Book Tag.

Hey, how is everyone doing? It is starting to feel like fall here so I thought I’d do this Autumn book tag that booktuber BooksWithEmilyFox created you can watch her video here though it is a few years old watch the video here. The tag was originally created by Tall Tales YouTube channel; however, from what I could find, their account is now inactive.

What book always reminds you of fall/autumn?

My favorite fall book is Small Spaces, or Lord of the Rings. For two different reasons. When I read Small Spaces I’m reminded of the spookiness of this time of the year. Lord of the Rings however reminds me of a homey feeling something I also associate with fall.

What is your favourite autumnal book cover?

Here are some of my favorite fall book covers you can tell I like a little bit of the red and black theme. I especially love spooky ya and middle grade horror covers. Not included here I also like books with witchy covers though I don’t tend to find them as spooky. As you can see I love V.E Shawb covers.

What is your favourite autumnal drink to read with?

My favorite drink has to be apple cider. It is great to put a stick of cinnamon in and enjoy with a good book and a blanket. I also like anything that tastes like pumpkin, though I’m not a fan off the PSL, because I don’t like coffee.

Do you prefer to read late at night or early in the morning?

Late at night by far and away. I feel like I have a lot of different tasks on me throughout the day, so I feel like my time at night belongs to me more. I’ll read in the morning occasionally, but there is something special about curling up at night with a book.

Halloween is coming! What is your favourite spooky read?

My favorite spooky read is a tie between City of Ghosts and Dead Voices. I haven’t read too much horror. Something I want to correct this fall, I also liked the Rot and Ruin series of books which is focused on zombies.

What is the ultimate comfort read for you?

My ultimate comfort read is anything done by Katee Robert, or Shannon Messenger, their stories are easy to fall into and read again and again. I also enjoy reading Lord of the Rings every year but I can’t say I’ve read it more than a couple of times due to its size.

What is your favourite autumnal reading snack?

Anything pumpkin, I like cookies, pumpkin bread, and Halloween candy especially things like Recess’ and chocolate. I’ve also developed an fondness for Nerds Gummy Clusters this year and they have become one of my favorite snacks.

What is your favourite autumnal candle to burn whilst reading?

I like anything with apple, pumpkin or spice. I’m a big fan of those three wick candles from Bath and Body Works and I’m always waiting for them to come out with the fall flavors at the end of summer, beginning of fall.

When you’re not reading, what is your favourite autumnal activity?

I like being outside enjoying the weather, if I’m not outside I like working on a crochet project as it always feels more like a time to play with yarn once it gets cold. I’m going to try making stockings for Christmas this year, along with some decorations for the house.

What is on your autumn/fall reading?

I’m looking to reread some of my middle grade favorite like Scritch Scratch and Small Spaces. However I’m looking to to go through some YA series as well, like the Bone Witch and few other books by Rin Chupeco.

I hope you enjoyed this tag, please feel free to steal it or reference the original posters.
