Is everyone ready for the weekend? I know I am, I’m counting down the days till my moving date and spending the rest of the time reading, well reading and packing. I can’t wait to get my book collection set up at the new place, photos will definitely be posted as soon as I get everything looking nice.
Volume 3 of the manga covers chapters 9-12. My favorite part of this volume is where Istumoi asks Yuki to go out with him. Her look of surprise when he does it is darling and everything in the first two volumes have been building up to this. I think they established the moment in a way that really worked for the two characters.
Some of my other favorite moments in this Volume include the interactions between Emma and Shin, who I think rival Yuki and Itsu as cutest couple, even though they haven’t gotten together yet, I think they will.
The most striking scene though is Yuki and Itsu sharing their thoughts at the laundry mat while the snow falls. Again maybe I’m a simp for snow being involved in fiction butI really love the atmosphere the piece has.
Again my least favorite bit is Oushi, just because I don’t think I like him as a character. His sister shows up though and she puts down the basis for Yuki getting a job later on, at least if the anime matches the manga.
Overall I like that Itsuomi really encourages Yuki to go after any goal she wants while at the same time respecting her world and the value she brings.
Also just on final thing about the Omnibus I bought, I love the interview with the mangaka at the end and it just ads a layer of cuteness and a look behind the scenes at an already sweet piece.
