Summer Book Reading Challenge: Wrapping Up Spring Reads and Exploring New Titles

I usually read more during the Summer. So I hope that tradition will continue this year. I’m shooting for 5 books this month. I have several challenges from the past months that I didn’t finish so I’m going to try and wrap all of those up.

1. Finish the last two books for Spring Orilium Readathon

I have to finish A Deal with the Elf King, which I’m about 75% through.

In addition to that I’ve got to work on Bakers and Magic, which just seems like a cozy fantasy so it should be a little bit easier to accomplish.

2) Read more gay book for Pride Month

I’m going to put out a list about what I’m reading in a few days but I’m also always looking for suggestions.

Some of my ideas include.

The writers of this book talk about how while we are trying to find gay heroes and pioneers we leave out some of the most interesting stories. The book follows the background of some more of gay scoundrels and such.

Identifying as someone on the Ace Spectrum I love to learn more about the science behind sexuality.

Finally while not LGBTQ specifically it’s about orientation I’d like to work on Polywise, I’ve started it but I still have a good bit to get through.

3) Finish a couple of books for the Asian Readathon

I’ve finished one manga for the challenge. A Condition called Love but I’m currently working on a romance and several other comics and manwha, that shouldn’t take too long for me to finish off. I’m also reading a good bit of non-fiction by Asian diaspora authors specifically Alice Wong

4) Try to post more regularly on the blog.

This is pretty self-explanatory and is my goal every month.
