Birthstone Book Covers

I grabbed this tag from Twirling Book Princess, please go visit their blog too, they have a lot of cool content!

The gist of the tag is this. You have to come up with books that are the color of the birthstone for the month you are in.

This month is a lovely green emerald color.

The Rules

The rules for this tag are simple. Mention its creator (Leslie @  Books Are The New Black) and link back to the person who first showed you the tag if you feel like it.

Next, you need to pick +5 books with the current birthstone colors.

Most importantly have a good time and nominate people if you like.

These are some of my reads from a few years ago and a few I hope to add to my TBR

Independent Study

This one was my favorite a few years ago. It’s part of a trilogy about a group of students who have to pass a dystopian test to find their spot in a corrupt government.

Song of the Huntress

The book is on my TBR. I haven’t read Sister Song but it is also on my list. I’ve just heard so many good things about this author and I was more intrigued in this book. I love this books vibe of fairies in Roman Britain.

The Fifth Season

Book: 'The Fifth Season'. Cover image.

I’ve heard lots of good things about the fantasy world building and the polyamory representation. The plot specifically focus on the world ending and climate shifting. It sound very cool.

Willa of the Wood

This was one of my favorite books in the mid 2010s. It focuses on a basically fairy girl who has lost her family and how she finds kinship with a human whose children are missing. It’s one of my favorite because it takes place in the Woods around Biltmore in North Carolina near where I live.

The Reader

Another mid-late 2010s fantasy book. But this one has a plot specific to the power of written words and reading. It also had a great heroine and a plot with political and personal intrigue. I’d like to go back and take a look at it with fresh eyes.
